DMS '10 Dotters-Katz Appears on VPR

Dotters-Katz (right) has served on several medical missions, abroad and in the U.S., during her four years at DMS

Norwich, Vt.—In the hectic run-up to Commencement, Dartmouth Medical School fourth-year student Sarah Dotters-Katz found time on May 12 to talk about her education, her medical future, and current healthcare issues on the Vermont Public Radio call-in show, Vermont Edition.

Audio of the broadcast is available at vpr.net. Vermont Edition host Jane Lindholm interviewed Dotters-Katz and Kristen Van Woert Connolly, a Vermont native who will graduate in May from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Topics ranged from their choices of medical specialty to the costs of medical education and the changing face of reimbursement for health services.

Dotters-Katz currently is doing a rotation in the emergency department of Elliott Hospital in Manchester, N.H., in preparation for her upcoming residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina.
