They are increasingly common drinking water contaminants and have been linked to a range of health issues. <a href=\"https:\/\/geiselmed.dartmouth.edu\/epidemiology\/profile\/megan-romano-phd\/\">Dr. Megan Romano<\/a>, Associate Professor of Epidemiology, worked with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhhs.nh.gov\/choose-safe-places-program-leader-and-environmental-health-coordinator\">Laurie Rardin<\/a>, the Environmental Health Coordinator within the NH Division of Public Health Services at the Department of Health and Human Services, and a stakeholder advisory team, to create <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhhs.nh.gov\/sites\/g\/files\/ehbemt476\/files\/inline-documents\/sonh\/medical-provider-pfas-factsheet-final_2.pdf\">guidance for NH Clinicians<\/a> to help them address patient concerns about PFAS.
