Winter Crafts for Your Family

We'll be hosting an events with crafts alike at both the Thetford Latham Library and the Fairlee Free Library in January!

Paper snow flakes:
Supplies
Scissors
Paper squares, suggested 12"x 12" (regular 11x8.5" paper works, just fold into a right triangle and cut the excess, include colorful paper if you have it)
Optional: Glue, glitter, colored pencils, twine to make a garland!

Step 1
Gather your paper!

Step 2
Fold in half on the diagonal to make a triangle

Step 3
Fold paper in half again.

Step 4
Fold paper triangle in thirds, overlapping the lefthand pointed corner over the triangle.

Step 5
Overlap the righthand pointed corner over the triangle.

Step 6
Trim the pointed ends.

Step 7
Cut out your snowflake, get creative!

Paper-roll trees:
Supplies
Scissors
Empty paper rolls (TP or Paper towel alike)
Paint/Crayons/Colored pencils

Step 1
Flatten the paper roll

Step 2
Draw/Stencil out your tree outline

Step 3
Carefully cut along your stencil, leaving some of the tree sides attached all around

Step 4
Get creative with paint, glitter, markers or whatever you have on hand! These make a great center piece.
