Established in 2003, the Distinguished Educator Award is presented yearly by the second-year class of Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine and Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine Student Government to one faculty or staff member. The recipient of this award is recognized for their excellence as a Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine faculty or staff member who goes above and beyond his/her role as an educator in an effort to help support and guide students in areas often unrelated to coursework. A Distinguished Educator may have qualities that include, but are not limited to, being a mentor, role model, counselor, and resource. Congratulations, Dr. Hopley!
