The Hanover Co-op Food Store, and their larger \"sister\" store, the Lebanon Co-op, are truly full-service grocery stores with a conscience. Founded in 1936 as the Hanover Consumer Cooperative Society by 17 local families including Dartmouth faculty, the Co-op has grown to be the second largest food cooperative in the nation. The Co-op has everything from standard national brands to the region's broad selection of organic produce and food. You don't have to be a member to shop there, but membership keeps this great co-op growing strong. The Hanover location is very convenient. Their Lebanon Co-op Food Store is twice as big. There is also a small Co-op Market on Route 10, just north of Hanover, on the way to Lyme. <\/p>\n
