Building on early engagement through the Urban Health Scholars program, the Pathway offers a longitudinal, scaffolded experience that integrates education, leadership development, immersive clinical training, and community-engaged scholarship. Its innovative two-tier structure fosters both an inclusive community of interest and a selective, high-commitment cohort, guiding students through progressive leadership roles and sustained engagement with urban communities. Organized around four foundational pillars\u2014longitudinal curriculum, competency-based learning, immersive clinical experiences, and a community-engaged scholarly project\u2014the Pathway develops expertise across key domains including comprehensive urban clinical care, public health partnership, health systems navigation, and resilient leadership. We equip students with a deep understanding of the social determinants of health and the skills to address health <\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"LineBox SCXP33151559 BCX0\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXP33151559 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-usefontface=\"false\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXP33151559 BCX0\">disparities through clinical excellence, community partnership, systems-level advocacy, and scholarship.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00693e\"><strong>\ud83d\udd2d\u00a0Vision<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We envision a future where one's zip code no longer determines their health outcomes, and all urban communities are free from systemic health inequities. This future will be built by skilled, dedicated, and community-focused physician leaders who work in partnership with communities to dismantle barriers to care and promote well-being.
