We conduct research that has a measurable impact on the risk of these diseases.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Tobacco is by far the deadliest commodity. \u00a0The 6 trillion cigarettes produced and consumed each year contribute to millions of deaths worldwide. \u00a0The tobacco industry pioneered public relations campaigns that undermined science showing tobacco causes chronic disease; they manipulate governments to avoid regulation of\u00a0cigarettes in violation of international convention.\u00a0 C.
