Adams<\/h3>\nFaculty Advisor\n<br \/>Associate Dean\n<br \/><em>Professor of Medicine Director<\/em>\n<br \/>Dr. Lisa V. Adams is the Associate Dean for Global Health and a Professor of Medicine (Infectious Disease and International Health Section), of Epidemiology, and of Community and Family Medicine at Dartmouth. She is also the Director of Dartmouth's Center for Global Health Equity. In all her roles, she develops and oversees cross-cutting global health programs involving faculty, staff, and students. She also teaches global health courses to undergraduates, public health, and medical students. Her area of expertise is international tuberculosis (TB) care and prevention, with a focus on pediatric TB and TB\/HIV healthcare delivery. As an international TB technical advisor, she has worked in over a dozen countries to provide technical assistance to Ministries of Health and numerous nongovernmental partners. She is currently leading several collaborative training and research programs with academic and community partners in Windhoek, Namibia, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Kigali, Rwanda. She has participated in various public health projects during my college and postgraduate years, particularly involving HIV research both locally in Boston and abroad in South Africa. Lee - Co-President<\/h3>\n<p>Kyra grew up in Fort Collins, CO and earned her BS in Health and Kinesiology from the University of Utah. Working in a free clinic during college sparked her passion for serving refugee, immigrant, and unhoused populations, leading to global health trips across Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica. After graduation, she spent a year abroad in Iraq, Nigeria, Tajikistan, and Mexico, working in hospitals and clinics, coaching refugee youth sports teams, serving as a prayer chaplain, and teaching English. During college, she participated in medical relief programs in Guatemala and the Dominican Republic, which strengthened her commitment to health equity, pediatric care, and mental health in underserved communities. This past summer, she worked with the Brain and Mind Institute at Aga Khan University in Nairobi, Kenya, supporting research on brain aging, resilience, and mental health.
