Professional Interests

My research is focused on understanding how dysregulation in the autonomic nervous and immune systems impedes recovery from neurotrauma and neuropsychiatric illness. I am currently evaluating the utility of neuromodulation and targeted pharmacotherapy as tools to improve functional recovery after injury, using several pre-clinical models.

Biography

Dr. Noller is a scientist with a PhD in health psychology/behavioral neuroscience. The overarching theme of her translational research involves the interrelated nature of the autonomic nervous and immune systems. Her research goals are to develop targeted therapies to address autonomic and immune dysfunction after neurotrauma and psychiatric illness in order to maximize functional recovery. Dr. Noller completed a PhD at the University of Miami, which was followed by post-doctoral training in rehabilitation and autonomic physiology at The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, and advanced post-doctoral training in neuromodulation and neurotrauma at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
