Biography
Ilir Hoxha is a public health specialist and health services researcher with a longstanding interest in the role of health systems factors in the provision of health care. Since 2002, Ilir has been involved in advisory and research work supporting health policy and its implementation in Kosovo. More recently, he has a growing interest in preventive medicine and development of disease risk prediction models.
He has received MD from the University of Prishtina, a MS in Health Systems Management from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a PhD in Public Health from the University of Bern. He has completed a residency in public health at the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo and has also been a Fulbright Research Fellow at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.
