Biography
Julie Frew, MD is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Medical Education and Vice Chair for Education in the Psychiatry Department at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, where she is also the Associate Director of the Adult Psychiatry Residency Program. Julie attended medical school in the Brown-Dartmouth Program in Medical Education and completed her adult psychiatry residency at Dartmouth. She directs the Dartmouth Health Moms in Recovery Program as well as a perinatal psychiatry consultation clinic at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, which she co-founded in 2009. Dr. Frew’s clinical and research interests focus on the care of pregnant and parenting women with psychiatric illness and substance use disorders. She is the chair of the education committee of Marce of North America and serves on the leadership team for the National Curriculum in Reproductive Psychiatry (https://ncrptraining.org/).
