Biography
Dr. Zug has been a dermatologist at DHMC for 30 years. She directed the Dermatology Residency Program at Dartmouth from 2000-2004 and from 2010-2021. Dr. Zug directed the SBM Dermatology Course for 2nd year medical students at Dartmouth for 13 years. She has enjoyed teaching and mentoring many students and residents. In the fall of 2021, she joined the Geisel School of Medicine Admissions Committee, and will serve as a facilitator for the Year 1 “On Doctoring” Course at the Medical School. She is also a new member of the Promotions, Appointments, and Tenure Committee at Dartmouth.
Dr. Zug is past secretary-treasurer of the North American Contact Dermatitis Group (NACDG) from 2006-2018, and continues as an active member of this 14 member research group. She served as President of the American Contact Dermatitis Society(ASDS) from 2005-2007. In 2018 she was awarded the society's highest honor, The Alexander Fisher Memorial Lectureship. She has served on 3 Scientific Program Committees of the European Society of Contact Dermatitis (ESCD) , and is a member of the editorial board of Contact Dermatitis.
She is co-author of Skin Disease: Diagnosis and Treatment, a text which is published in English, Spanish, French, Greek, Portuguese, Russian, and Chinese, and the card deck text Derm-Dx.
