Biography
Dr. Zug is Emerita Professor of Dermatology at the Geisel School of Medicine. Dr. Zug has been a dermatologist at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for 30 years, and retired from clinical practice in September 2021. She directed the Dermatology Residency Program at Dartmouth from 2000-2004 and from 2010-2021. Dr. Zug directed the SBM Dermatology Course for 2nd year medical students at Dartmouth for 13 years. She has enjoyed teaching and mentoring many students and residents. In the fall of 2021, she joined the Geisel School of Medicine Admissions Committee, and presently teaches as a facilitator for the Year 1/2 “On Doctoring” course at Geisel. She is also a member of the Geisel School of Medicine’s Appointments, Promotions, and Tenure Committee.
Dr. Zug is past secretary-treasurer of the North American Contact Dermatitis Group (NACDG) from 2006-2018, and continues as a member of this 14 member research group. She served as President of the American Contact Dermatitis Society(ASDS) from 2005-2007. In 2018 she was awarded the society's highest honor, The Alexander Fisher Memorial Lectureship. She has served on 3 Scientific Program Committees of the European Society of Contact Dermatitis (ESCD) , and is a member of the editorial board of Contact Dermatitis.
She is co-author of Skin Disease: Diagnosis and Treatment, a text which is published in English, Spanish, French, Greek, Portuguese, Russian, and Chinese, and the card deck text Derm-Dx.
