Our faculty rely on rigorously constructed hypothesis-driven clinical trials and population-based research and apply state-of-the-art and novel methods and technologies to advance the field of epidemiology and impact human health and disease.<\/p>\n<p class=\"main\">At our core is a commitment to highly interdisciplinary research programs with a translational emphasis. These program and Centers are described below.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"main\"><span class=\"title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/childrenshealth.host.dartmouth.edu\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Children's Environmental Health and Disease Prevention Research Center<\/b><\/a><\/span><br \/>\nJointly funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and the US Environmental Protection Agency, this multi-investigator, multi-institutional Program is focused on understanding the impact of the\u00a0<i>in utero<\/i>\u00a0environment on the health of children.<\/p>\n<p class=\"main\"><span class=\"title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/geiselmed.dartmouth.edu\/molecepi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Center for Molecular Epidemiology<\/b><\/a><\/span><br \/>\nThe Center for Molecular Epidemiology at Dartmouth is a Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) program, focused on transforming research capacity at Geisel by stimulating novel, high impact research by early career investigators using the tools of modern molecular epidemiology.<\/p>\n<p class=\"main\"><span class=\"title\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dartmouth.edu\/~toxmetal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Dartmouth Superfund Basic Research Program<\/b><\/a><\/span><br \/>\nA Superfund Research Program funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences which takes an interdisciplinary approach to investigate how arsenic and mercury in the environment affect the ecosystem and impact human health.<\/p>\n<p class=\"main\"><span class=\"title\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cancer.dartmouth.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Dartmouth Cancer Center\u00a0<\/b><\/a><\/span><br \/>\nOur National Cancer Institute Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center includes a vibrant\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/cancer.dartmouth.edu\/res\/cancer_epi_chemo.html\">Cancer Epidemiology Research Program<\/a>\u00a0which includes researchers interested in cancer genomics, novel risk factors, and lifecourse epidemiology focused on cancer risk, prevention, and survival.<\/p>\n<p class=\"main\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/geiselmed.dartmouth.edu\/globalhealth\/center-for-health-equity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Center for Health Equity<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nDartmouth\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/geiselmed.dartmouth.edu\/che\/center-for-health-equity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Center for Health Equity<\/a> focuses on increasing equitable access to high quality care and to the conditions that promote health.
