Professional Interests: Dr. Passarelli studies genetic and environmental risk factors for hormone-related cancers, including malignancies of the breast, prostate, and colon. He is interested in biomarkers to improve cancer screening and surveillance. His current research focuses on the metabolism of steroids including sex hormones, cholesterol, and bile acids in relation to the development and recurrence of colorectal polyps and cancers.
