\"\"The Academic Progress Committee (APC) at Geisel School of Medicine oversees the academic advancement and promotion of medical students.<\/span><\/strong> The committee reviews cases in which students are not meeting curriculum standards and works collaboratively with the Office of Academic Advising and other support offices to ensure students receive the guidance, resources, and individualized plans they need to succeed. The APC helps determine appropriate interventions, which can range from continued support and remediation to temporary leaves or, in rare cases, separation from the program. Committee membership includes faculty and student representatives who are trained to maintain a fair, transparent, and supportive process, ensuring that decisions uphold Geisel\u2019s commitment to academic excellence, integrity, and professional development.<\/p>\n
