Contact a Scholar
If you are interested in learning more about the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth’s Urban Health Scholar (UHS) Program and other opportunities at Geisel, contact us! We would be happy to talk with you more about the program and about being a student here at Dartmouth.
Shortly after first year students matriculate to the Geisel School of Medicine, second year scholars host orientation sessions fully describing their experiences as scholars. First year students have the opportunity to ask questions about the expectations and commitment of being an Urban Health Scholar. If interested, first year medical students can apply to be a scholar. The selection process consists of a written application discussing your interests and experiences in urban health and underserved communities, followed by an interview with the current scholars and advisors. All applicants are invited to interview and scholars are selected each year in time to participate in the Boston Fall cultural immersion trip. Typically, this trip takes place the week after Labor Day. Keep a lookout for the UHS information session shortly after orientation where we will be on hand to tell you more about UHS and answer any questions you may have.
Submit the application by 11:59PM on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.
