This includes managing complex and severe skin diseases, cutaneous reactions to medications, acute exacerbations of chronic skin conditions, and cutaneous manifestations of underlying systemic diseases. Consultative dermatologists work alongside hospital teams to diagnose and manage skin problems that require or arise during hospitalization.
