We are a comprehensive academic dermatology practice at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical center with 15 board certified dermatologist at our main campus. We treat a wide array of dermatologic conditions. Our Department combines a robust general dermatology practice with multiple specialty and multidisciplinary clinics. Within this practice, we train residents and medical students, and provide access to clinical trials so our patients can participate in new cutting-edge dermatology therapy. Our basic science research team allows for laboratory experimentation and participation of multiple level of learners.
Our faculty lecture locally, regionally and internationally on various range of dermatology topics. We have over 15 ongoing clinical trials for various skin diseases using multiple new and not yet FDA approved medications, allowing our patients access to unique and cutting-edge therapies. We publish between 20 and 30 peer-reviewed publications per year, and multiple poster presentations at national meetings. Our residents and Geisel medical students also participate in these academic pursuits and publications.
We also have multiple affiliate clinics throughout the state. When patients visit our affiliate dermatologists, they gain access to their local dermatology care as well as our specialty clinics and faculty if needed.
Our Department will continue to grow our clinical patient base, as well as our academic and research footprint. This allows access for patients, resident and student learning, and clinical expertise to move our dermatology care forward. We are enthusiastic about the future, and we are planning to make great strides in our care and scholarship.
