His research focuses on DNA-based cell typing and epigenetics in cancer development and treatment response, and he currently serves as Associate Director for Strategic Initiatives at Dartmouth Cancer Center. Brock brings a strong record of faculty governance to this role, having served seven years on the Geisel Faculty Council, including three years as Chair where he has contributed to Appointments, Promotions, Titles (APT) policy development.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1469\" src=\"https:\/\/geiselmed.dartmouth.edu\/deansoffice\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2026\/05\/Kathleen-Clem-Headshot-4x5-1-240x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"165\" height=\"206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/geiselmed.dartmouth.edu\/deansoffice\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2026\/05\/Kathleen-Clem-Headshot-4x5-1-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/geiselmed.dartmouth.edu\/deansoffice\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2026\/05\/Kathleen-Clem-Headshot-4x5-1-44x55.jpg 44w, https:\/\/geiselmed.dartmouth.edu\/deansoffice\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2026\/05\/Kathleen-Clem-Headshot-4x5-1.jpg 576w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 165px) 100vw, 165px\" \/>Kathleen Clem, MD is a professor in Geisel\u2019s Department of Emergency Medicine and a practicing emergency physician at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Over the course of her career, she has held senior clinical and administrative leadership roles at major academic medical systems, with a sustained focus on faculty development, mentorship, and recruitment. Kathleen has served on Geisel\u2019s APT Committee and as a faculty representative on the Geisel Faculty Council for five years.<\/p>\n<p>I am deeply grateful for Dr. Erika Brown's leadership and the foundation she has built for faculty affairs at Geisel. Her dedication and the thoughtfulness she brings to this work have prepared the office of faculty affairs for ongoing success. We are fortunate that Brock and Kathleen will work alongside Erika through June 30, ensuring a seamless transition. I also want to thank the entire OFA staff for their continued dedication and amazing work.<\/p>\n<p>Please join me in welcoming Brock and Kathleen to these new roles.
