Dear Geisel Faculty,
On behalf of the Geisel Dean’s Office, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each of you for your engagement and mentorship in our wildly successful Annual Medical Student Research Poster Night, which took place on October 22nd at DHMC.
We were so glad to see eighty-nine of our students present their wonderful work, made possible by your mentorship and guidance. They showcased projects spanning clinical research, foundational science, medical education, DEI, and community health science, sharing their findings with faculty, staff, and peers in an engaging evening of scholarship and collaboration.
This event would not have been possible without your guidance, encouragement, and commitment to fostering the next generation of physician-researchers. Your mentorship helps create a vibrant culture of inquiry and discovery at Geisel, and it makes a meaningful difference in our students’ development as researchers and clinicians.
Particularly, I want to call-out Han Tun, our program manager for the Office of Medical Student Research and Tim Gardner, assistant dean for Medical Student Research, for their remarkable leadership in this space. And, of course, thanks to Tina Hoisington and her team for handling all the details and ensuring the event ran smoothly.
Thank you again for your dedication and support. Medical student research is alive and well at Geisel!
