Levy Incubator Announces $3M Gift and New Focus on Primary Care

We are thrilled to announce a generous $3 million gift from Richard Levy to The Susan and Richard Levy Health Care Delivery Incubator to further fuel innovation in healthcare delivery across Dartmouth Health and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth over the next 3 years. This new funding will specifically support initiatives aimed at transforming primary care.

Over the past 5 years, the Levy Incubator has played a vital role in advancing efforts to redesign the delivery of healthcare services for Dartmouth Health patients. To date, the Levy Incubator has proudly provided funding and support to 17 teams who have made impressive progress in enhancing the quality of care for patients, improving the patient and provider experience and reducing costs. We invite you to read a summary of our work to date here.

Looking ahead, we will continue our commitment to fostering innovation in healthcare delivery while sharpening our focus on primary care. The next phase of our work will prioritize the integration of medical and social services to address rural disparities, which aligns with accelerating policy interest, particularly at the state level, in primary care investment and innovation.

We are very pleased to announce that Elisabeth (Beth) Wilson, MD, MPH, MS-HPEd, Chair of Department of Community and Family Medicine, will partner with the current team to lead the next phase of the Levy Incubator, joining us in the role of Co-Director. We also welcome Lisa Johnson, MBA, Senior Program Director at TDI, to the team as we embark on this next chapter of collaboration.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to our successes over the years including our past and present cohort participants and the Dartmouth Health Strategy and Regional Operations Team. Their dedication has been invaluable as we position ourselves for continued success.

We look forward to sharing details about the application process and timeline for the 2025 project selection and how you can get involved in the coming months. Thank you for your ongoing support of the Levy Incubator.
