Dan Mielcarz became the Director of DartLab in July of 2021. His expertise lies in experimental design, data compilation and analysis, with a particular focus on clinical trials. \u00a0He joined DartLab in July of 2011. \u00a0Dan received his Ph.D. in microbiology\/immunology from Dartmouth Medical School in 2010. He is a member of the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS), The Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities (ABRF), the International Society for the Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC), and North East Regional Life Science Core Directors (NERLSCD).<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

FLOW CYTOMETRY LAB MANAGER<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Gary Ward, the Manager of the DartLab Flow Core, is a long time employee of Dartmouth with many years experience in flow cytometry. He has the overall supervision of the QC, preventive maintenance, and operations of the flow cytometers and computers. \u00a0He also operates the Fluorescent Activated Cell Sorter.\u00a0 In addition to these duties he trains users, assists with experiment setup, handles scheduling, and other technical questions.\u00a0 He received his B.S. from the University of New Hampshire.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

Andrew joined DartLab in November 2016. He currently assists with flow cytometer maintenance and quality control, clinical trials, Seahorse, Luminex, and development of Standard Operating Procedures. He received his B.A. in Biology from Bowdoin College in 2011.<\/p>\n

Jacqueline Channon Smith, Ph.D.

DIRECTOR EMERITUS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Jacqueline Channon Smith was the Director of the Immune Monitoring Laboratory from 2002-2021 and the Director of the Flow Cytometry Core from July, 2012-2021.\u00a0 She received her Ph.D. in 1984 from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, an Institute of the University of London.\u00a0 She is a native New Zealander who has lived and worked in Auckland, Johannesburg, London, Baghdad, Denver, and the Upper Valley.\u00a0 Her research interests include leishmania, toxoplasma,<\/em> multiple sclerosis, and immunoassay harmonization.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
