Joshua Kerkaert

About Me

Josh grew up in Minnesota and had been to the New England only one time prior to his interview at Dartmouth. Josh graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin-Cities in 2016 where he studied the environmental biology of endemic fungal pathogens. His current work is on Aspergillus fumigatus metabolism within the host microenvironment, and how the fungus adapts to the host throughout the course of infection. Outside of lab you’ll find Josh climbing on rocks, hiking in the woods, or playing on the Dartmoose hockey team.
