{"id":1195,"date":"2025-08-05T11:22:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-05T15:22:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/geiselmed.dartmouth.edu\/cpde\/?page_id=1195"},"modified":"2025-08-05T11:27:46","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T15:27:46","slug":"services-when-applying-for-a-grant","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/geiselmed.dartmouth.edu\/cpde\/services-when-applying-for-a-grant\/","title":{"rendered":"CPDE Services When Applying for a Grant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CPDE provides a range of services to help researchers with grant submissions, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing evaluation \/ methodological study aims, e.g., for implementation studies, qualitative and mixed methods study designs<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with writing research strategy and methods sections<\/li>\n<li>Creating logic models and a theory of change<\/li>\n<li>Evaluation plans mapped to your goals and objectives<\/li>\n<li>Identifying appropriate theoretical or conceptual frameworks related to your aims, e.g., implementation science frameworks, behavior change models, socio-ecological models<\/li>\n<li>Power analysis<\/li>\n<li>Sampling and recruitment procedures<\/li>\n<li>Assistance with data security and management plans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The first consultation is free. Depending on your needs and timeline, we will discuss creating a short scope of work and budget for grant-related services.<\/p>\n<p>Considerations when requesting CPDE support with a grant application:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Whenever possible, plan ahead!<\/strong> It takes 6-8 weeks to develop a high-quality methods \/ evaluation section aligned to grant aims given that we fit requests around our existing project workloads.<\/li>\n<li>For applications requiring logic models, evaluation plans, draft instruments, and\/or detailed sampling and data collection procedures, a minimum of 6 weeks lead time is required for our support.<\/li>\n<li>Please be prepared to share early versions of your proposed intervention \/ program including number of sites, key activities, target population \/ participants, and desired outcomes to help us develop required attachments.
