With the \"aging\" of the local and national population, the Family Practice section of the Department has branched out into the area of geriatrics.  Dr. Linda Dacey is the Medical Director of Kendal at Hanover, the continuing care retirement community. She works as part of a comprehensive geriatric team which includes another geriatrician, <a href=\"mailto:Julie.P.Fago@Hitchcock.ORG\">Julie Fago<\/a>, and two geriatric nurse practioners.  Kendal at Hanover is ranked at one of the top Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) in the U.S. and has a comprehensive range of services from outpatient and preventative services through rehabilitation services.<\/p>\n<p>In addition family medicine patient care is delivered at local nursing homes and a continuing care retirement community. With the \"aging\" of the local and national population, the Family Practice section of the Department has branched out into the area of geriatrics. <\/p>\n<p>The Department also has a significant presence at the Hanover Terrace Healthcare.  Hanover Terrace is a 100 bed care center that offers 24 hour skilled nursing, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, respite care, hospice services and Alzheimer\u2019s care.<\/p>\n<p>Both nursing homes are within a 10 minute drive of the medical center, and provide excellent learning environments for medical students and residents.
