Founded in 1972 as the Dartmouth CO-OP Project, the CO-OP is considered the oldest practice-based research network (PBRN) in the United States.<\/p>\n Today, the NNE CO-OP PCBRN is a voluntary, cooperative network of primary care clinicians, healthcare professionals, researchers, patients, families, and community partners across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The network brings together clinical, academic, and community partners to identify and address questions that matter to primary care practices and the rural communities they serve.<\/p>\n The CO-OP supports collaborative research and quality improvement by connecting partners, developing and conducting practice- and community-based research, supporting professional development and peer learning, and translating research findings into clinical practice and communities.
