Post-doctoral Scholar in Biomedical Data Science at Dartmouth (Zhao Lab)

The research team of Dr. Siming Zhao in the Department of Biomedical Data Science at Dartmouth College is seeking motivated individuals with a strong quantitative background with a PhD in computational biology/bioinformatics, (bio)statistics, genetics, computer science or a related field. Individuals with prior experience in generating or analyzing next generation sequencing data are also highly desired.

The individual who fills this position will have the opportunity to work on computational method development for genomics data and/or work in close collaboration with experimental biologists. We expect the results from these projects to deepen our understanding about the genetic etiology of human diseases, in particular cancer.  Our areas of interests include cancer genomics, functional genomics for disease gene mapping, statistical genetics, single cell sequencing experiments and analysis. Please refer to the lab website for more details.

Competitive applicants will have a demonstrated record of research accomplishments as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications in related fields. Programming skills (ideally proficient in R and/or Python), and strong written and verbal communication skills are required. An interest in cancer genomics or human genetics is highly valued.
