By Automobile

From the Boston area (about 2.5 hours):

Take I-93 north to I-89 north at Concord, NH. Get off I-89 at Exit 18 in Lebanon, NH onto Route 120. (A sign says that it is the exit for Dartmouth College.) Bear right off the exit, heading north on Rt.120 into Hanover. Follow Rt. 120 for about 3 miles to the entrance to DHMC.

From Manchester, NH (about 1.5 hours):

From Manchester, NH take I-93 north to I-89 north as above.

From New York City (about 5 hours), southern New England and points south:

From New York take I-95 north to I-684 north and I-84 east to Hartford, Connecticut, then take I-91 North to I-89 South (just before you reach White River Junction). On I-89 South, take Exit 18 for Lebanon, NH. Turn left off the exit ramp onto Rt. 120 North. Follow Route 120 for about 3 miles to the entrance to DHMC.

From Burlington, VT (about 1.5 hours):

Take I-89 south to I-91 north in White River Junction, VT as above.

From the Montreal area (about 3 hours):

From Montreal take I-89 south to I-91 north to Vermont Exit 13 as above.

By Airplane

Manchester Airport (New Hampshire, USA) is strategically located in the heart of New England, adjacent to Interstates 93 & 293. Manchester Airport is just an hour and half from Hanover, NH.

Lebanon (N.H.) Municipal Airport, 10 miles from the Dartmouth campus, is served by several daily flights from New York (LaGuardia), Boston (Logan) and Philadelphia International airports. Consult your travel agent for connection information. Manchester, N.H., Airport is 90 minutes south, with bus service to Hanover from Manchester.

Burlington International Airport, is located 3 miles east of Burlington, VT and is just under 2 hours by automobile to Hanover, NH.

By Train

Amtrak's "Vermonter" service from Washington and New York arrives daily in nearby White River Junction, Vt. Consult your nearest Amtrak agent for information.

By Bus

Vermont Transit (802-295-3011) has several buses from various points arriving daily in White River Junction, Vt., with connections to the Dartmouth campus. Call for information. Dartmouth Coach (603-448-2800) offers daily service between the Dartmouth campus and Boston's South Station and Logan Airport and occasional service between Dartmouth and the Manchester, N.H., airport. Call for information.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center - Patient & Visitor Parking

Patient Parking: Follow signs to the Doctors Office Building Entrance & Parking Garage or the Main Entrance.

Free Assisted Parking: Free assisted parking is available at the Doctors Office Building Entrance and the Main Entrance for drivers who may have difficulty walking. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5pm.

Handicap Parking: A number of handicap parking spaces are available at the Main Entrance, North Entrance, and Parking Garage.

Patient Visiting Parking: Follow signs to North Entrance Visitor Parking.

Parking for Conferences, Meetings, and Vendors: Park in Lot 20 and use the DHMC Shuttle Bus.

DHMC Shuttle Parking: A free Shuttle bus (handicapped accessible) runs approximately every 10 minutes between the East Side and Parking Lot 20. The Shuttle bus operates Monday through Friday, 6am to 11pm.
