Team Up, Take Action: Partnering for Health Equity

Dartmouth-Hitchcock is partnering with the Vermont and New Hampshire Public Health Associations to present a day-long conference to explore the many factors that either enable or interfere with addressing conditions leading to health inequity. The event will be held on November 15, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, at the Hanover Inn.

Geisel to Host National Physicians for Human Rights Student Conference

A collection of evening activities on Friday, November 4, including a student poster session highlighting research on human rights and a reception, will kick-off the annual Physicians for Human Rights Student Conference being held at Geisel on November 5. The topic of this year’s conference is Violence against Difference.

Tropical Medicine Fellowship Awarded to Geisel Student Adrianna Stanley

Second-year Geisel School of Medicine student Adrianna Stanley received a Benjamin H. Kean Travel Fellowship in Tropical Medicine. The Fellowship, given by the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, is dedicated to nurturing medical students interested in tropical medicine.

Bright and Shiny MOLAARS: Dental Cleanings and Screenings for Migrant Farm Workers

June 4, 2015 was a big day for the Migrant Health Project at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine. In seven hours, four first-year medical students and a pre-medical volunteer coordinated 12 dental cleaning and screening appointments for migrant farm workers at Barton Street Dental in Bradford, VT.
