Postdoctoral Position - Signal Transduction And Membrane Trafficking In Insulin Action

July, 2010

Our research program is aimed at elucidating, at the molecular level, the pathways of signaling from the insulin receptor and the regulation of membrane trafficking by insulin. The latter centers on the translocation of the glucose transporter GLUT4 to the cell surface in response to insulin. Please see the accompanying description of our Research Program for more detail.

The person who assumes this position could undertake a project in either or both areas. The project is likely to involve a combination of methodologies from cell biology, molecular biology, protein chemistry, and possibly mouse physiology.

If you are interested in this position, please send or email your resume, including the names, telephone numbers, and email addresses of three references, to Dr. Lienhard.
