I Take Charge of My Health
I Take Charge of My Health was a program designed to teach young children about basic health concerns, such as cleanliness, nutrition, and safety. Through many small projects, the Koop Institute used media such as skits, posters, and direct teaching to convey these important health messages.
The Koop Institute is continuing the tradition of early health education through its series of Fall-Down Brown
stories. Fall-Down Brown is a character developed by DHMC resident Sean David, who hopes to teach children about health through the adventures of this hapless young boy.
I Take Charge of My Health has reached a successful conclusion, and the Koop Institute remains committed to preventative health measures and a belief that health education can be fun.
