Mentors second-year students in the On Doctoring Course perfecting physical examination skills. He mentors in many other areas as well.
Biography
Dr. Catlin is a graduate of Dartmouth and Harvard Medical Schools. He did his internship and residency on the Harvard Surgical Service at Boston City Hospital.
He practiced general surgery in Connecticut for many years. After his clinical practice he returned to Geisel 28 years ago to teach in the Anatomy Department.
Currently he is Associate Professor of Medical Education teaching courses in HAE, CTO, Neuroscience, General Pathology and physical exam skills. He has been a pioneer in developing new pedagogies and curricula in "flipped" classrooms and small group sessions.
