Keynote speaker: Donald Berwick, MD, MPP, FRCP
Donald M. Berwick, MD, MPP, FRCP is President Emeritus and Senior Fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), which he co-founded and led for 18 years. From July, 2010, to December, 2011, he served as President Obamas appointee as Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). He has served on the faculties of the Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health, and is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine. His numerous awards include the 2007 William B. Graham Prize for Health Services Research and the 2007 Heinz Award for Public Policy. In 2005, he was appointed Honorary Knight Commander of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II. He has authored or co-authored over 160 scientific articles and six books.

Coffee & pastries will be served from 7 - 8:45 am the morning of Class Day. If you plan to celebrate with family and friends following the Class Day ceremony, please remember to make your lunch and dinner reservations at downtown Hanover restaurants ahead of time.
