Peter Kilmarx '83, DMS'90, is chief of the Epidemiology Branch of the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as a captain in the U.S. Public Health Service. He previously served as director of the CDC's Botswana office and of its northern Thailand HIV/STD prevention field station. He is the recipient of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary's Award for Distinguished Service for exceptional work in responding to Hurricane Katrina.
