Dean Madden, Professor of Biochemistry and Cell Biology and Director of the COBRE Institute for Biomolecular Targeting, has received a new NIH program project award to establish the Dartmouth Cystic Fibrosis Research Center (DartCF). This collaborative effort supported by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases will focus on health issues that arise in a new generation of cystic fibrosis patients who have benefitted from current lifespan extending therapies. The goal of DartCF will be to accelerate the translation of new research discoveries into improved outcomes for CF patients. The new center launched on July 1, Stay tuned for more updates.
