Learning Support at the Geisel School of Medicine

Individualized assistance is available to all Geisel School students through the Office for Learning Services. Much of Ms. Trietley's time is spent working with students one-to-one, and helping them:

  1. Assess their progress and effectiveness
  2. Explore their learning styles
  3. Learn better strategies for successfully navigating the rigors of medical school
  4. Put together individual plans that work

Examples of student issues that are often addressed:

Ms. Trietley also offers a series of Academic Success Seminars for first-year students, and directs the summer prematriculation program, ARC. She is a champion of medical students and is happy to make time for those in academic need, whether they're struggling in a course, aiming for a larger number of Honors grades, trying to become better organized on clinical services, or preparing for licensure exams. In addition to providing direct services for students, Ms. Trietley acts as a liaison to faculty to help resolve student problems and provide helpful information.
