Advancement

Mark Notestine, PhD
Associate Dean for Advancement

To expand support to match the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth's ambitious 2020 goals to improve lives, and to increase the School's identity nationally and globally, an Advancement Division has been created at the medical school. This model—aligning philanthropy, alumni relations and communications/marketing under one area called Advancement—is common at top medical schools nationally.

Robust communications and marketing that tell the Geisel School of Medicine's story in vivid ways, frequent engagement with our alumni and friends, and dramatically increasing philanthropic support for our students and the important work being done by faculty and researchers, will help drive the medical school toward an extraordinary future ... a future where we can help tackle the most vexing challenges in health care.

Mark Notestine, PhD, associate vice president and associate dean, leads Geisel's new Division of Advancement. In addition to heading up fundraising for the Geisel School's priorities, Mark also collaborates on shared interest projects with the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Development office and manages the Geisel School/DH shared services team.

The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth's Advancement Division works closely with Dartmouth College's Advancement, led by COO and Interim Senior VP for Advancement Ann Root Keith.
