Outreach
- 80% of first- and second-year students do volunteer work
- 2,150 patient visits were recorded in 2009 at the free Mascoma Clinic, founded by Dartmouth medical students, and its parent organization, the Good Neighbor Health Clinic
- Dozens of students each year participate in service learning trips to such places as Appalachia; New Orleans; Washington, D.C.; and Native American reservations in Minnesota
